Mitsubishi 3D DLP Bulb problems?

Hello, been a Mitsubishi fan for last three big screen TVs.
Recently looking at Mitsubishi 73" 3D DLP.
Seems to be a lot of complaints about bulb replacement. There is even talk about class action lawsuit re: bulb replacement. Bulb is "suppose" to last couple of years (depending on usage, of course), but I've been reading horror stories/consumer complaints about 3 or 4 bulbs needing replacement in the first year or two. Also other problems. Did a search on this site for Mitsubishi problems, but not a lot of information on "massive" bulb replacement.
Any experience with this?

Normallly if someone is going through so many lamps there is a reason that the lamp is blowing. Typically revolves around the ballast and power supply. The consumer could also be running a set with poor circulation. If the set is running normal then you should get atleast 3 to four years out of a lamp.
