Timer LED Does Not Stop Blinking
Causes: 1. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) Disconnect the USB connector from the card reader to the front from the Chassis, if the LED stops blinking after 70 seconds replace the Card Reader part # 299P271010. 2. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) Disconnecting the USB connector from the Card Reader did not help. Remove connector FC from the FMT PCB and plug the unit in, if the LED stops blinking after 70 seconds with FC removed suspect a problem on the FMT PCB (part # 930B924002), if the LED keeps blinking with connector FC removed suspect a problem on the DM PCB (part # 934C116002). 3. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) On the DM PCB (part # 934C116002) check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 UFD, 16V, 105C), if any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C). 4. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) On the FMT PCB (part # 930B924002) check C8F19, C8F21, C8F22, and C8F27 (16V 1000 UFD 105C) if any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C).
Note: The FMT and DM boards are no longer available through the mitsubishi parts dept. the entire chassis must be sent to Mitsubishi for repair, turn around time is 4 to 6 weeks. For more info. contact Mitsubishi direct.

Hello there,
I replaced all cap's on the tv, (power supply, FTM, DM board, 1000mf 16 volt) 4 on the power supply 4 on the FTM and the others on the dm board, I removed the FC connector from the FTM board and the green timer blinking light stopped after 60 seconds, I checked for any bad parts on the ftm board, can't find any,the problem is on the FTM board, any idea what parts can be bad on the board?
thank you very much.

3.3 VDC and 5.0 VDC volt power supplies on power supply card are enabled when tv is turned on. These are for light engine. 12 VDC and 6 VDC standby supplies are distributed to different boards (DM, FMT, etc.) where they're converted to 3.3 VDC and 5 VDC- notice big inductor for buck regulator on different boards in proximity to 1000 uF caps (like on power supply board). My WD-52525 is doing the same as yours- if I plug tv in with FC disconnected, blinking green light goes out after a minute- hot plug FC and I can turn the tv on with the power button on front. I don't totally understand what's going on. I replaced 1000 uF caps on power supply, DM and FMT boards and 3300 uF caps on power supply. Some, but not all, were bulged. I've seen other posts where they recommend putting a switch inline with 12 and 3.3 VDC on FC connector but this seems like a patch, at best, for the real problem.

Crazy I had the same thing and here is my fix. Take out your Formatter Pcb and note the service mount capacitors on the lower left corner by the ribbon connector. Should be a group of 18. I changed all of the 100uf by 16v, there are 7 or 8 of them. That and the other caps that you have changed fixed my problem. Have fun.

Make sure you install those A/C "condensers," oxygen "sensors" and window "regulators" correctly! Wink
