Ok I got this TV from a buddy for free. He said it would power up and get a blue screen but thats it.
I get it home and it would do nothing, then it did finally turn on, got the blue screen for a bit then went black and shut down. I do see a green power light on though.

Hello, try the following:

1. Check IC700 PIN 4 (AC-OFF) for 0 Volts DC. If it's high, check for leaky D980 Part # 264P045040 on the Main PCB.
2. Check for 10 Volts DC at PIN 5 of IC502 of low, check IC503 Part # 270P704010 on the Main PCB.
3. Check R529 which is .82 OHM 1/2 Watt resistor of PIN 4 of the Flyback. If open, check C411 which is a 2200 UFD @ 35V capacitor and IC 451 Part # 270P064020 on the Main PCB.
4. An intermittent shutdown could be caused by low voltage on PIN 5 of IC502, you should have 10 Volts DC. Check IC503 Part # 270P704010 on the Main PCB.
