DVD player will only play 1 disc	Can't Post

Hi all i purchased a secondhand Disney Tv The lightning Mc queen Cars One
Inside it it had a dvd in the draw which plays Great,However it refuses to play any other dvd at all
it says disc error when i place any dvd in it .i have checked the region which says region 2 so i know its not that
any ideas why this Dvd player/Tv refuses to load any other disc?
I dont really want to take it apart but will if i have to,Just seems strage why it plays the disc that was in it well ut wont play any other disc,I have looked in the settings and dont see any lock other then a child lock which i cant imangine being the cause of this
Look foward to your suggestions on this

See if it plays MOST audio CD's.
If does, you can try carefully cleaning lens, but more likely laser is getting weak.

If it is playing one DVD well it must play other DVDs well too provided the rest of the DVDs you are trying to play are not scratched. In that case buy a new DVD and play it. If it does play you are sorted other wise you need to call a technician rather than fiddling with it yourself.
