I recently purchased a new Toshiba 52HM95 DLP television. I am on the local cable. We have to use a cable box to receive digital signals, so I have a digital DVR box for this. My question is this: I have hooked up my tv many different ways using various inputs but I can't seem to hook it up any way that will allow me to use the split screen capability unless one of the channels shows up as channel 3 because that is what the tv defaults to when the dvr box is on. I want to figure out some way to hook it up so I can change the channels on either of the split screen options. Right now, I run the cable into a splitter, then from the splitter, I run one side into the cable in of my dvr box, on the other side of the splitter, I run the cable into the Ant 1 cable input of my tv. Any suggestions?
