tv has split screen

my parents have a freesat box due to them being in a valley and cant get freeview. Most mornings and only in the morning the screen splits so the top of the screen the picture is turned upside down showing the bottom of the broadcast picture. is this likely to be the sat box or the satellite that us causing the problem. thanks for any thoughts
