A Question Too Easy Can't Post

Hi All, Just joined this forum. I'm planning to purchase my first BIG flat screen HDTV, probably 46" or 47" model.

I don't have a clue about them. Wouldn't I be the salesman's dream if I didn't get some info (smile)?

My requirements are EASY....I watch TV and maybe a DVD now and then. No games.

I'm confused by the various TVs I see. One 46" LG can be $595 and another one sitting right beside it is $1295, or more.

I'm assuming I need the very base model with inputs and outputs. I'm not an audio or video nut.

Any input/output appreciated,

Jim, in the Desert of NM

Bring a list of what you have and how they are connected (and any alternate way they could be connected that would satisfy you).
Also a list of "must haves." Don't start crying a month later that it does not have the earphone jack you wanted ... "but the other set was cheaper."
