HDTV 1080p, Which One? Can't Post

I know that most of the regulars are getting bored of these threads but please be patient. I can sit 8 feet from my TV with no glare, or 8 - 16 feet with a little bit of a glare. I want a 46" - 51". My budget is $2000 w/full stereo system (the price has dropped a lot in my area). I am getting a very poor response with all the sales reps at the stores, they appear to be completely clueless with what they are talking about. I am not sure to go with plasma or LCD but I think LCD because of a few of those clueless sales rep, are they right? These LCDs

OK, these are the ones I found for LCD and were quite cheap. Should I give Samsung a try? What another models besides the ones I listed. I am heavy into gaming (XBOX 360, which one is going to be the best for gaming), movie watching, comedy, and Hockey

I would go with a pioneer personally. I think they produce the best sets on the market

I would def buy an LCD over a plasma set because of 1 fact. LCD last longer and have far fewer repairs per unit than Plasma. Plasma is bascially being phased of the market. Plasma represents approx. 10% of the market and that number is shrinking. Once OLED really comes on the sceen in the next decade I believe plasma will gone for good. Buy a Sony. And buy it from a local retail dealer who is an authorized service center as well as sales shop. I went to Westfair TV in Fairfield CT. They are knowledgeable and helped me get my blu-ray player going. Also if I have a problem they repair the set right upstairs in their shop. You can't beat that. So even if I spend a little more now I know I will have my set up and running for a long time. That is a better value to me than saving a couple of bucks now.
