Newbie to HDTV, Please Help Can't Post

hey everyone. i just purchased an xbox 360 and i am now looking to upgrade my tv to an HDTV.

im not looking for a huge investment like $1,000 but i am looking for something around the $300-400 price range.

i have been looking through various sites and i know it seems impossible (especially since shipping is like another $100 in itself). ill take anything really, refurbished, dinged up, as long as it works. Maybe something in the 20-30" range.

here are some i have been looking at but im having trouble finding the best TV for my money.

1)http://www.hotbuyselectronics.com/item_detail.php?item_id=107509
-Samsung TX-P3064W 30-Inch Wide Neo Series DynaFlat Digital HDTV Monitor Television
$429.98

2)http://www.shentech.com/txn2798hf.html
Samsung Consumer (DVD/TV/etc) TXN2798HFX/XAA 27" Flat CRT HDTV
$244.00

3)http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?catg=535&item=337189&prDeTab=1&pCatg=5988&atc=0001&BV_SessionID=_SC_1894202801.1155489939_CS_&BV_EngineID=ccchaddiiemgfdjcfkfcfkjdgoodfkg.0
27" Samsung SlimFit TV
$488.26

4)http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7601491&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat95100050007&id=1130981881933
Insignia™ 27" Flat-Tube HDTV - Silver/Black
Model: NS-27HTV
$379.99

5)http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductDetail?Sku=6662970
24" Analog Flat CRT TV
$269.95

6)http://refurbelectronics.com/26hf85-rb.html
Toshiba 26HF85 26" 16:9 TheaterWide FST Pure Flat HDTV Ready TV
$397.94

7)http://refurbelectronics.com/26hf84-rb.html
Toshiba 26HF84 (26HF14 Derivative) 26 Inch Flat HD READY Monitor
$368.99

so these are the most affordable ones i have seen. ive been reading through some of the descriptions but some of them just have me lost to all extent. What ratio am i looking for? 4:3 or that 16:1 (i think)?

Does the size really matter? im just looking for something that i can watch from my bed and be able to play with seeing my games and movies clearly.

What do you guys think? Sorry about all the questions im just really new at all this.

Avoid number 4. I recently worked in BBY Service and those NS-27HD's were failing left and right. If I'm not mistaken it's either a Primus, Konka or KLH badged set.
Avoid.

Number 7 is a 2 year old refurb model. I'd pass.

I like the slim fit Samsungs. A few have had some issues with purity in the corners which Samsung has a fix on. Nice picture and I like the narrow depth.
