I would not buy a tv off of one of those shop on tv shows. They do not offer service. What will you do if it breaks in a couple of years. I would buy a major brand like a Sony from a local retail dealer who is an authorized service center as well as sales shop. I went to Westfair TV in Fairfield CT. They are knowledgeable and helped me get my blu-ray player going. Also if I have a problem they repair the set right upstairs in their shop. You can't beat that. So even if I spend a little more now I know I will have my set up and running for a long time. That is a better value to me than saving a couple of bucks now.
