Panasonic TC-26LX70 HD issue

My TC-26LX70 Panasonic HD TV will does not sense the HDMI Cable connection to my U-Verse. I have disconnected and reconnected the cables twice, rebooted the U-Verse and checked to see that the HDMI cable is in the correct port.
I can't seem to find anything in the instruction manual.
(note: I just began the HD service through U-verse)
What am I missing?
