Sharp 26in hdtv question

I have a 26" Sharp HDTV and I am getting ready to use my Xbox 360 with it and I am wondering if I should use 720p or 1080i with it. The Serial/Manufaturer number is LC-2610U I believe. If no one knows maybe you can answer this. Would setting it on 1080i while it should be at 720p hurt the tv or xbox at all? thnx in advance
