Toshiba big screen purple scrolling??	Can't Post

I have a new Toshibia 56", which has a peculiar problem. About half the time I turn it on, I have three mini images that scroll from right to left, all with a heavy purple tint. The audio is fine. I can correct this by switching the input to DVD, ANT or anything else, then switching back to HD1. We have swapped the cable box (3 times), the TV (once), and reconnected and finally disconneted all components (DVD/surround sound, VCR). The dealer has no clue and claims to have never seen this before. Likewise the Toshibia rep. Any ideas?

What if you turn off the set at night while in dvd mode.When you turn back on and switch to HD1,do you still get the problem?

This would tell you if it is a start/warm up problem if the problem happen in the dvd mode during start up.

What if try starting up in HD with a different type of cable.If you are using DVI,try component cable or a different DVI cable.

Try to isolate the problem to a cable or mode(try HD2).

If you don't switch out of HD1,does the problem go away after the set warms up?
