What should I buy Can't Post

I'm looking to buy a new TV. The problem being I have no clue what to buy. I want the biggest and best TV I can get for $2500. I was at the store the other day and a $1100 LCD TV became a $3800 after the sales guy "hooked me up" with eveything I needed for the TV. I'm pretty sure I want a flat panel and when I was a ciruit city I really liked the picture on the LCD better then the Plasma. I only watch TV and movies I don't play games or anything like that. I have Directv and understand that I will need a HD box from them. If anyone could help me I'd be very grateful I'm trying to get this in time for the Super Bowl.

I would suggest the samsung 50" plasma HSP 5053 @ $2399
http://www.circuitcity.com/...ccd/productDetail.do

Or this plasma is on sale for $1999 Panasonic th 50px60u
http://www.circuitcity.com/...Detail.do?oid=146860

Or these DLP's give you more screen size for the money

Samsung hls 6187 @$2399
http://www.circuitcity.com/...ccd/productDetail.do

Mits 65" for $2589
http://www.circuitcity.com/.../ccd/categorylist.do

A DLP from Samsung or Mits will give you more screen size for your dollar.I like both of these.

The two plasmas are also good buys for the dollar if you want a plasma.

I don't prefer LCD from Sony because I think they are slow for watching sports, that's just my thoughts.

As for getting hooked up- all you need is a hd sat receiver and hd sat dish and hdmi cable and you are all set for hd viewing.

I have bought cables from this company and they sell high quality cables at a fair price. http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/dvi/index.htm

Thanks Tank,
I saw that Panasonic th 50px60u at cc but the picture didn't look that good it wasn't very sharp at all a little fuzzy as were most of the other plasmas is this because of how they are hooked up at the store? I was looking at the at a lcd and the plasma right next to each other but different programs on each but the lcd was a far better picture.

Remember all sets at CC are hooked with component video cables and not hdmi cables.

It makes a big difference when you connect these with hdmi .

How big a screen size do you want ?

No they have pretty wide viewing angles.

I would look at the two I gave you links, they are good deals. You don't have to buy from CC just go to Best Buy with the printout and get a price match.

Two other options
JVC 61" 1080p Rear-Projection HD-ILA HDTV

Model: HD61FN97
$2299
http://www.bestbuy.com/...amp;id=1138084694149

Toshiba 62" 1080p Rear-Projection DLP HDTV

Model: 62HM196

$2272

http://www.bestbuy.com/...amp;id=1149205182872

Remember to get the 1080P for any set larger than 46-50" instead of the 720P.

Check most set have 2 hdmi inputs.
Non HD dvd players - you just connect with component video cables or if it has a dvi connection you can get a dvi- hdmi cable .

The new HD dvd players use the hdmi connections.
