getting a better resolution Can't Post

I have a 62" mitsubishi dlp, and a samsung htb (p-38). I hooked up the component video, and turned on progressive scan, but the picture could still be better. The tv says it is only receiving a 480 signal, so how do up that to 720 or 1080?

The dvd player in progessive scan can only upconvert to 480p.

To get anything higher you need a new HD DVD player.
