lcd hd tv help!	Can't Post

I need help on my new lcd hd tv. I just got it yesterday at costco and I only used it for playing my xbox and my xbox 360 becuase I dont have a cable hook up yet for hd channels. I turned on my tv and came back 10 minutes later to play my 360 and red blocks come up on the screen then it says please wait like your turning on the tv the screen comes back and little green dots come on the screen and it says please wait again and now little lines are going down the screen. I have a sharp 26" I got at costco yesterday. Also the tv was pretty hot from my last use could that be it or should I get another tv? I cant find the model on sharps site at all the model is LC-26SH12U.

Before we assume that the brand new tv is indeed defective, why don't you try hooking the antenna input. rabbit ears or whatever. if not! hook some dvd player and see if it does the same thing?
