Red Horizontal Lines with LCD TV Can't Post

Hi,
I have a 42" Philips TV that has 7 red horizontal lines going across the screen. I called Philips and they were no help. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is my TV bad? Please let me know.
Thanks,
swb1

Well the other option was:
It's time to play another round of the wildly popular game show "Let's All Try To Guess The Model Number."Wink
By this point in time how many "different model" 42" LCD sets has Philips made?

So all you needed was the model #, which you have now?

Re: [swb1] Red Horizontal Lines with LCD TV [In reply to] Can't Post

Research so far:
It's approximately a 2006 vintage set that was most likely purchased at Costco.
Without doing further research, all I CAN say is that one or more boards/modules are defective.
Remember most flat panel sets will last past the end of their warranty (average: 90 days to 2 years), but not by a Whole lot (3 to 7 years on average before first failure).

Let me do some more research and if I find anything I'll post again.

hi well its sounds like to me that you many be having a problem with your DMD board this is the mother board off your TV when things like this happen it means that the little microscopic mirrors on the board are either on the on position or on the off position and that's whats giving you this effect this boards range from 200-400dls here is a link so you may learn i little about this board good luck with this

Wasn't aware they used DMD boards in Plasma sets?
