Sony 40" LCD vs. Samsung 40" LCD

Hey guys first post here I have a toshiba 720p tv looking to upgrade I can get a Sony 40" 1080p 120hz for $550 or a samsung 1080p 120hz for 600. I play alot of videogames and love to watch sports that's why I'm going with 120hz. I also considered a panasonic plasma 1080p 600hz but I feel like there's too much glare and I like the bright vivid colors of LCD. Which tv would you reccomend? By the way I have an xbox 360 if that matters. Thanks alot I appreciate it!
