Vizio 55" screen issue

Vizio P552ui-B2, my issue is with the screen. The picture is clear, sharp and the color is excellent.
The issue is that in the lower left quarter of the screen there is an area in the shape of an “L” that is a gray shade. I call it the shape of an “L” because in the extreme left corner of the screen is a small area were the screen has the normal brightness.
If the image being projected on the screen is bright I can see the grey shadowed area. If the scene is dark the image being projected appears normal and unless you it's there you wouldn't notice it.
Any help you can provide to troubleshoot this problem would be greatly appreciated.
