Which tv should I pick?

I have a sony kdf42e2000 and it is having an issue where there is a pink tint at the top of the screen. I guess this problem is common on this model so I called sony to see what I need to do.
They offered to either
A) fix my tv completely free
B) Send me a brand new KDl32s5100 completely free and I get to keep my tv I have now
C) buy a new kdl46s5100 from sony for $300 and I keep my tv
D) buy a new kdl46v5100 from sony for $380 and I keep my tv
I am leaning towards either c or d, but I dont know if it is worth it to get the s model or v. Can someone explain the difference and why it makes sense to buy the v?
The v is like $300 more at best buy. Thanks!
