power supply filter capacitor Can't Post

I need to know the correct code for the case of an electrolytic capacitor where the whole side of the case is glued to the circuit board and the leads are bent 90 degrees

As long as "glue" is NOT epoxy, carefully pry that sucker up by the end opposite the leads. Carefully scrape off the glue.

If you have the schematic and know what the value should be, you can float either lead and test its value, ESR, etc.

Listen to what jts1957 said....
I have NO clue what you mean by "series" ????
Most of those caps that I've seen laid on their side are glued in place with a silicone rubber type adhesive...
IF you CAREFULLY remove the silicone rubber off (Peel it off with your fingers) , you should see the info you need..
A generic lytic cap will come with long enough leads but will not usually come with pre-bent leads....
That's why techs have "needle-nosed" pliers OR very good teeth...Wink....

GOOD LUCK....Sly....
