LG Plasma 50PX1D-UC top half sparkles

As soon as the Plasma starts the top half of the screen looks like sparkles even with no input. With a input the sparkles change but nothing that looks like a picture. The person that gave this unit to me stated the Y driver board top needed to be replaced. I obtained a pulled one from eBay and installed it. No change to the problem. I checked my work to verify proper installation and perfect match of the part numbers. I usually would not leave the TV on for more than a minute. I had a Playstation 3 in my shop(computer) for repair and after I finished the repair I used its output on the TV. I left the TV on for a couple of minutes with a input and the lower half started to go out like the top. I was thinking of shotgunning the three XR boards for the top but now?????????? Obviously the bottom going out is due to something heating up. I'm turning to you experts for direction. I don't want to shotgun the whole TV . Thanks in advance for the help.
