Panasonic TH-42PX50U with vertical line

I have a Panasonic TH-42PX50U Plasma that has worked perfectly for a few years. All of the sudden I am getting vertical lines across the entire screen. The lines change depending on which input is being used and the menus are distorted as well. I was able to put the unit in self test mode and got all OK’s across the board. Strangely the text for the self test was crystal clear. There doesn’t seem to be any clearly visible damage to any of the circuit boards. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
