Phillips Flat TV Plasma Model 42PF7320/10	Can't Post

Need some advice - I have a Phillips Flat TV (Plasma) Model 42PF7320/10 with no sound when the TV powers on you hear a bump from the speakers and then no sound - plugged in a set of external speakers - and I have sound??

I'm curious as to WHERE you connected a set of external speakers? No external speaker jacks on unit. Only ways I can possibly think of would be via Headphone jack or SCART with an external amplifier.

I have a Tecknika Boom Box Ł19 from Tesco - plugged this into the headphone jack and I have sound

Headphone jacks built-in shorting switch most likely sprung. 2 & 5 and 3 & 4 are not shorting back together when headphone plug is removed (or board/joints defective). (representative drawing - yours may differ)

Pictures of board & jack. TOP of board with jack and board part number(s)/BOTTOM of board with jacks solder joints.
