Plasma 50" Turn on and Off HDMI Issues

I have a Samsung Plasma 50" PN50A550S1F that when it turns on it takes a few minutes for the screen to appear and during this time it shuts itself on and off until it finally shows a picture. Once it does show a steady picture, the only TV service I use is a amazon fire tv. When I plug the amazon fire TV into the HMDI ports of which the TV has three and in all three when i plug in the amazon fire TV the tv picture will distort and it will turn itself off and on repeatedly as though it is trying to focus of which it never does. Ive left it on for hours and it does same thing over and over. I have tried that same amazon fire TV in my other tv and it works fine!!!
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
