Repair shop using used parts? Can't Post

I have an extended warranty from a LG 60PZ550 that turns on with no picture and no sound. The repair tech came and said they would replace the main board. I was thinking of repairing this myself before I remembered I had a warranty, so I looked for the common problems and how to fix them. It appears the main board and the Y-sus and z-sus boards are the common issues and are no longer manufactured. Does a shop just have more resources and ability to find one or am I probably getting used parts? That's all I was able to find.

Second question. Should I extend the warranty?

Cheers

If the repair tech or someone from the shop is on here and puts it together, I am not questioning your methods. You seem very professional and knowledgeable. Just performing my due diligence.

SUPPOSEDLY: '100% tested, pulled from a working broken screen set.' So I'd go with used.
