Samsung SP-P4231 vertical line f-buffer? Can't Post

I have a Samsung SP-P4231 plasma with a single vertical line (only about 1 pixel wide) running from top to bottom directly in the center of the screen. The line shows on all inputs and even on the on screen menu. It is for the most part, a black line as it is not visible on black areas of the screen but it appears white when it intersects the on screen menu's blue bars. I have removed and cleaned the contacts of the F-Buffer with no change. Before I buy a replacement f-buffer, can anyone with experience tell me if this will likely solve my problem? Thanks!

Thank you for the informative link however i still am unclear as to if it could be the f buffer. Under troubleshooting the panel it says single rows or columns that are always white or black are always a panel failure. In my case it is a single column and it does change colors (i've even seen red in it) but it never moves. Any other thoughts?

Other than "Other lines or lines that vary with content are almost never panel failures", no.
