Which 60" Plasma for me? Can't Post

I decided I want a plasma TV, yet I cannot figure out which one. Panasonic has a new line of 3D plasmas, with very good ratings, yet I do not think I need 3D. If I buy a 3D Panasonic, will I be paying more for something I do not need?

LG has very good ratings on their non-3D Plasmas, 950 and 550 series. Are these LGs not as good as the Panasonic?

Samsung also makes good plasmas, and the prices seem good.

My current TV is 22 years old, so I am trying to be very careful with this new purchase. Thanks.

You MAY get one tenth the longevity out of your NEW one.

I wonder if there is a real difference in picture quality between Panasonic ST30 and GT30 lines.

Samsung PN63C550 63-Inch for $2099.
Panasonic TC-P60ST30 60-Inch for $2099.

Which one would you buy?

That's longevity (for a television).
