Which model gives best picture Can't Post

I recently purchased a samsung 42" edtv. I am considering returning it and going HD i have read consumer reports, but was wondering what others opinions are on which tv has the better picture?

The TV will be used mainly with Bell expressvu HD satellite with HDMI connections (Monster Brand).

Help

Thanks

EDTV has a better picture for regular cable, analog, digital tv (480i)

HDTV has a much better picture for HDTV (1080i)

thanks god! there's one individual who can relate the classifications between the 2. not meant for comparisons.

EDTV can do backward even forward which tells you " think twice"

HDTV is ultimately for HIGH DEFINITION.

Pioneer or Panasonic HDTV. Yes an EDTV will look fine watching standard TV, but the extra resolution of an HDTV set will be stunning while watching HDTV. I would go with Plasma but the LCD sets are coming down in price very fast.
