Cant find PIP board please help. Can't Post

I have a problem with my projection tv that has horizontal lines jumping on the screen all the time. I found the solution to fix it here.

http://www.techlore.com/forum/thread/17738/Mitsubishi-vs-60707/

I just cant seem to find the PIP board on the the main board so i can put in the capacitors in the pins 5-11 and 7-9 stated in the link above. here are some pics.

There are a couple of boards that i can remove but they dont have 11 pins. One has 3 and 4 and the other has 6.

Can anyone help me locate the PIP board? The model number is Mitsubishi vs-60707

Thanks.

You're recalling the 930B552 series boards that plug into two multipin connectors in the late 80's to mid 90's sets. VS-60707 PIP is integral to the Signal PCB. BTW you only needed to change 4 caps and possibly add a jumper if a foil was damaged. Of course this (and the "bypass" methods) presumed customer NOT interested in PIP being functional.

I thought something was kind of weird. I didnt think i was that blind.

yeah, i dont care if the tv has the pip option as long as i can have a normal picture.

Do you know what 4 caps i have to replace?

C2P05 100 UFD 16 V
C2P08 100 UFD 16 V
caps c7001 and c7036

Is it these that were mentioned in the link?

Service Manual should show em. Wink

If I recall correctly, I think Signal board.
C2P05 = PIN 3 OF IC2P01
C2P08 = PIN 4 OF IC2P03

Other 2 caps sound like might be from a plug-in PIP board (that your set don't have).

Im not too familiar in reading schematics but here is what i came up with.

PCB-signal 3 is for the PIP

IC 6P01 says pip on the schematic.

I found IC 6P01 its a surface mount 100 pin chip. So on the schematic i went to signal 3 and traced back all the pins

12v
A1_DAC_06
B1_DAC_07
FAST_BLK
YUV_SW
Y_PIP
etc
etc
etc

and i didnt see any of them connected to a capacitor.

I dont know if im doing it right but im trying. Can you point me in the right direction again?

Forget PIP !

Only the first 4 posts of the techlore thread are valid (and part of the fourth post applies to older Mits.
ICs are three terminal regulators in TO-220 packages attached to metal stand alone heat sinks on the Signal Board. Capacitors are connected to the pins stated earlier.Angelic

C2P05 = PIN 3 OF IC2P01
C2P08 = PIN 4 OF IC2P03
