Help replacing STK4277-SL in Pioneer SD-P6081 Can't Post

I'm the latest in the convergence conspiracy Mad, after years of near flawless service, my Pioneer 60" SD-P 6081 convergence went haywire. Center is OK, edges are all pincushioned and bowed in different directions. Red mainly, and it will not move under user digital menu controls.. The edges wont move that is, the center moves just fine.

After a little searching, looks like the STK4277-SL chip under the big heatsink seems to be the most common problem and solution to this mishap. I was going to order the chip from somewhere, but seems like not all STK4277-SL's are created equal?

Whats the deal here... has anyone found a reliable cheap source for such an IC? Details and links would be appreciated.
