Mitsubishi Projection TV Manufactured 2002! Can't Post

Model # WS-55311. The tv has a convergence problem. I only ordered the IC chips. I replaced them and it still has the problem not as bad but the colors are still in 3D effect. What I noticed is that the colors are bowed from the top and the bottom also. I dont know if there is some resistors to change also that is causing the bowing of the colors. I got this tv for free so I wanted to know if I can still fix it. I will gladly appreciate it if I can get some help.

Possibly....
More than likely you have some blown fuses...
Do you have & know how to use a DVM ???

Re: [Ron.M] Mitsubishi Projection TV Manufactured 2002! [In reply to] Can't Post

I was searching around for the parts for the tv thru mitsubishi and i came to the conclusion that the parts in the tv are made by sanyo I paid $12.00 bucks for both. So I looked on ebay and I ordered them made by sanyo. I have dvm but if you can show me a pic of what fuses to check. also I can take the convergence board off again. to check them. I really appreciate your help.

The Destroyer;....

GLAD to see you got the GOOD ICs....Smile...Smile...Smile....

I'm having a bitch of a time trying to get the manual for this TV...
It comes in 2 parts...
One is called the "Service Manual" , but it does NOT have ANY schematics...
That is in "Part 2" , which I have found at several locations & downloaded only to find out that the file IS CORRUPTED !!!...Mad.....
As soon as I can get a decent file on your TV , I WILL be back...
Patience , patience...

$12 sounds awful cheap for 2 Sanyo ICs...
Are you SURE that they are REAL Sanyo ICs ???
HOW ??

You missed one;=>...

OK , it took me awhile , BUT , I found one...
I have schematics , but , NO pix of ANY boards...

Let's start with measuring the B+ for the Convergence ICs...
I have a "Block" diagram that shows connector "KF" near the rear of the chassis...
It comes off the board that has the flyback on it & connects to the "Main" board....
There are 19 pins on that connector....
Pin #19 should be the farthest toward the rear of the chassis...
Pin #1 should be the farthest toward the front of the chassis...
Check on the board for labeling that says the pin numbers to verify...

Pin #1 will have 110 vdc...
Just for reference...NOT for convergence ICs...
Convergence B+ is on pins #8 , 9 , 10 & 11...
Read all 4 pins...
Should read about +24 vdc...
Convergence B- is on pins #18 & 19..
Read both pins...
Should read -24 vdc...
Read all voltages using one of these pins as your ground connection for your meter...
Pins #12 , 13 , 14 , 15 , 16 or 17 ...(Same connector..KF..)
Post results...

Thanks....Sly....
