On most of the new RCA HDTV projection tv there is a common complaint that I have been hearing about. While watching TV the tv just starts to change its format. ex. from 16x9 to 4x3 or will go into zoom mood ect.
The cause of this problem is that there is a setting in the menu that is called auto format. If you do not like what is happening then turn this feature off. There is nothing wrong with your TV.
This is feature works by monitoring the sync pulse, however in a perfect world this feature works great. However do to many thing like cable companines signal level. ect. this feature will not always work right.
