Thanks jts1957.....

tom v;....

I'll need straight answers to ALL my questions...
NO hedging around...Wink...
1)..
Did you replace Q1403 , Q1406 &/or Q1409 ???
2)..
What other parts , if any , did you replace on the Blue CRT panel ???
3)..
I'll need DC voltage readings (E,B,C) on Q1403 , Q1406 & Q1409 ???
I want those readings with the TV ON & video playing...
(Antenna , Cable or ???)

That'll do it for now...

OK Ron here goes.
#1 Yes I Replaced both Q 1403 and Q1406.Did not replace Q1409 BECAUSE it is for the on screen display and it does turn on the blue crt to display the channel numbers or any function of inputs such as vcr or dvd

#2 No other parts were replaced on the blue CRT neck
board

#3 DID voltage checks with set running
Q 1406 the blue driver were OK compared to the voltage chart
Voltage check on Q1403 Were quirky The main problem was the collector voltage .It is way up their
was getting 225volts instead of 145 to 150 as compared to the other crt boards or the voltage chart
Hope this helps Ron will wait for your diagnostic reasoning or plan let me know and thanks TOM

tom v;....

The CRT schematic you posted on Photobucket is NOT very clear...
My copy of the schematic is NOT clear & it looks like the collector of Q1409 & Q1403 are tied directly together...
Would not make any sense as the voltages on the 2 ARE different..

There are some resistors that I would like you to check...
I can NOT make out what their reference numbers are...
Lets start with the resistor OR coil that comes off the collector of Q1403 (Output)(I'm guessing its 18 ohms or ??) & goes to another resistor that goes to the cathode of the CRT...
Also check the resistor that goes from the emitter of Q1406 to ground....
Looks like it might be 4.7 ohms...

The NEXT time I ask for info , PLEASE GIVE IT !!!!...
I WILL be the one to analyze the info you give...
.5 ~ .7 of a volt CAN make a difference...
PLEASE TAKE & POST EXACT READINGS...
Even IF they are "quirky"...Wink..

THANKS...
