RCA Convergence Problem

RCA Convergence Problem	Can't Post

The picture is "bowed in" at the top and bottom, and the colors don't line up. We used to just turn it off and on again to fix the issue. That trick hasn't worked for some time now. I've done a bit of research and believe the problem is one of convergence. I have two questions:

1. Does my model of T.V. have a service mode?

2. If not, or if service mode does not help; Do I need to buy a convergence chip/circuit thing and have a friend swap it out or am I better off buying a complete convergence board?

Also, I tried the "Search" feature on this forum but kept getting an error.

Thanks for the reply! So if I'm understanding correctly I will need to purchase 2 STK392-040's if I can't fix my issue via "service mode". Is that right?

People really should learn how to read the thread (and any links contained therein) they are directed to. Doing so should clear up.

I apologize for my noobness. I am just triple checking everything cause money is a little tight right now (school clothes) and T.V. repair is brand new to me. Thanks again.

Okay, so my T.V. does in face have that hidden menu. I accessed it and changed some of the settings. Specifically P4-P7. It didn't help. so I exited the menu and turned the T.V. off. Now (when powered on) I have sound but no picture what so ever. How do I get back to factory defaults or will the new STK reset everthing?
