Hi! 
I'm new to these TVs. My uncle just gave me this TV and i was so excited. I used it for a week, almost straight. Then one day while at work, my wife told me the set went out. She said it made a noise, set went out, and the had a funky smell to it for a few minutes. Ever since the TV hasn't been able to be turned back on. I know it is a 10year old TV, but i thought these things were built to last awhile. If you have any ideas, please let me know. I want to be able to call a TV repair guy out to my house and already have "good" ideas on what is wrong with the set so he can give me a better idea on the cost I'm looking for to fix it.
