Sony KDF-50E2000	Can't Post

Hi,

I just changed out the lamp in my tv and follwed all intsructions but it keeps turning off after a few minutes. Any ideas as to what could be wrong???? Its really frustrating so any help is very, very appreciated.

Could be a bad "new" lamp....
Most likely a bad "generic" replacement...
Contact lamp supplier for exchange...

I would agree with 'Ron.M' new lamps can be defective & the only way to find out is to try changing the lamp again. If another lamp does the same thing then it will likely be a heat issue such as a bad heat sensor mounted just above the lamp housing where the lamp slides into the set.

Thanks for the reply!! You were spot on! I had bought a cheaper lamp which was faulty but then realized that you get what you pay for so bought a more expensive one which worked immediately.
