Toshiba 46" DLP RED Picture Quality Can't Post

I own a Toshiba DLP 46" & a Progressive scan DVD player. Everything
works great except for the DVD video quality. The DVD player quality
is below average if I use the standard video cable (yellow, red,
white), but I want the highest possible picture quality so I purchased
the Component video cables (Y, Pb, Pr) and plugged them into the Color
stream HD-2 connections and the component video connects on the DVD
player. I can access the DVD player and the audio works fine, but the
picture quality is horrible. There picture is red/pink, as if a red filter is in front of the light. It kind of look like an infer-red image. Please recommend what it is I can do to
fix this problem.

Thanks,

Simplest thing may be to doubble check hook up sounds like one is crossed, some DVD's have either a switch or some way in the programing to change modes check this as well
