Toshiba DLP problem need help!	Can't Post

Recently the unit has been acting like the bulb has blown but it has not. I have removed bulb and it is fine. on startup it will try to go but the red and green lights (on and off) flash back and forth and the lamp wont light up even though I have audio. just like when the lamp is blown, exactly like the lamp is blown. But if I unplug the set for a few minutes and then plug back in, it will start up fine. Now i havent done this but three times now so i can't say this works everytime yet. But that is what is happening right now.

Any idea what could cause this??

Greetings raydaddy.
Lets see if we can isolate the problem. First, have you replaced the lamp in the last 1 to 3 years? Do you hear any strange noises coming from the back of the TV? My first recommendation is to open up the inside of your tv and clean it free from dust & mold, use a can of compressed air and a small vacuum cleaner. This post might help you have a better understanding of what could go wrong in a DLP tv.
