Can you describe exactly what the led does when you hit power? I will try to assist you with your problem.

Have you checked the three fuses right next to the flyback? There are 3 brown Fuses, its possible that those are blown. You can check them in circuit with a ohms meter

Have you checked the two regular fuses on the line filter board to see if they are still good?

Re: [frnk] RCA HD52W59 [In reply to] Can't Post

That chassis has had issues with the flyback being bad however it usually blinks 3 times then goes out if its flyback. have you checked the deflection PCB for solder cracks around the flyback? Thats a strong possibility and another issue I have seen alot of the HOT transistors having broken pins that will cause a dead set. If you end up needing parts for it let me know as I work for a company that has all parts for those ITC222 PCBs tubes and everything even screen assemblies.

Re: [frnk] RCA HD52W59 [In reply to] Can't Post

its just because youre picking up resistance in the surrounding circuit because of the windings in the flyback. But theyre susposed to be like that.

Have you checked DL030 in the Horizontal yoke output circuit? If not lift one end out of circuit and see if its good.

Re: [frnk] RCA HD52W59 [In reply to] Can't Post

hey my frind, have a question, because everything started when I start the auto convergence I check the 3 lenses and one of them the butterfly nut was very, very tight, i know that they are spose to be lose so it can move and adjust, if this was the problem what you would think was the result of this lens trying to adjust and can't move?
thanks again

No those nuts are susposed to be tight, the adjustments are done electronically through the convergence yokes. if the lens moves your focus will get messed up.

Okay. I have had some sets with the shutdown that had these items bad . DL030, RL025, RL044 and CL035. The diode and resistors have to be checked with one side lifted from circuit.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but it relates somewhat to this post. I was given a D52W15 ITC222 that has a bowed image (top & bottom). The convergence board is getting power (both + and -), so I checked some components on the deflection board based off of culled info I found (including one of your older posts) that related to my problem.

I pulled TL010 and the heatsink with DL030 and DL032 out of the circuit and found that TL010 and DL030 look good (approx. 5v and OL). However, DL032 is reading 0.011 volts both ways.

Should DL030 and DL032 both test the same (voltage one way and open with leads reversed)? If so it sounds like DL032 is shorted, correct?

BTW, thanks for all your help on my Akai thread.
