philips/magnavox blue crt ground wires	Can't Post

I have a philips/magnavox rear proection tv. when i took out the blue crt and changed the coolant .i think i wrote down wrong where the blackwires go to that are coming from the metal l shield on the blue crt.looking from rear there is 1 on left side and 2 on right there is 2 wires on circuitboard that go there or to groundthere id a J569A & 570 AND A WIREgoes to chaisse ground beside one going to lsb ive been looking i can read schmetic a little any one know thanks

Look on the CRT module for some "spade" lugs standing up on the component side of the module...
The wires you are talking about have clip connectors on the ends , right ???...
They should connect to those lugs...

iknow you cant see it very good but there are 3hookups on pic tube. on circuit (labeled)# 1( J569A)has2 prongs 1 empty 1 goes to green circuit board. #2(J570) 2 prongs 1 empty other wire not pluged in #3 just the end of wire #4 chassy ground 2 prongs 1 empty 1 goes to large circuit board.iwhat are the 3 prongs on pic tube? grounds ? i got 2 wires on 1 side and none on other side buty i know i had 1 # 4 thanks

I'm confused !!!!

How many black wires are you trying to hook up ????
How long (approx 1~2 feet??) are they ???
Do the wires have spade lug connectors on both ends ???

i pluged the up 2 empty blugs on blue board . the wires have lug plugs on each in ive got a picture but when i go to convergence menu the red and blue cross hairs wont go up to the green. they only go so far up,down ,left or right

1)...Have you got ALL the black wires hooked up ....Yes or No ???
2)...You said you changed the blue coolant , did you change the green coolant also ???....Yes or No ???
3)...Did you change the red coolant also ???....Yes or No ???
4)...Are you able to move the red "crosshairs" up , down , left & right ???....Yes or No ???
5)...Are you able to move the blue "crosshairs" up , down , left & right ???....Yes or No ???

I NEED answers to ALL the above !!!

1-ALL THE BLAVK WIRES ARE HOOKED UP 2]I CHANGED GREEN TO 3-DIDNT CHANGE RED 4- I CAN MOVE RED UP,DOWN LEFT,RIGHT NOT VERY FAR 5- SAME AS RED THE CROSS HAIRS LOOK A LITTLE BENT THANKS RON

On the CRT is a device called the "Yoke"...
It is slid up all the way towards the top...
There are 2 sets of 4 wires each coming from the yokes...
There is one set that has fairly thick wires consisting of 1 red wire , 1 green wire , 1 yellow wire & 1 blue wire...
The other set has much smaller wires....
This is the set I want you to look at...
From the center CRT (Green) , follow the smaller wires from the yoke to the panel they are plugged into...
See which connector they are plugged into...
The wires coming from the center CRT should be connected to "J404" on the "Digital Convergence Panel".....
The smaller wires from the blue CRT should go to connector "J485"...
See if they are in the right connectors & post what you find.....

I had a feeling that that was the case....
In my service manual the print for some things is not clear...
I also thought that maybe Magnavox in their infinite wisdom decided to go rogue with their numbering system....

That said;....

Lets try this;...
Switch the 2 (Green & blue) wires coming from the yokes...
That would put the green wires in connector J485 & the blue wires in connector J484...
Turn on the TV & post results...

in convergence menu the buttons are backwards up is down etc, and in blue same plus moved red with it my eail is billmill5050@outlook.com if you want e to send you the manual i tried in image shack still trying how to post pics from them

I have the manual...
Where do you think I got "J484" & "J485" from ???...
Did you switch the blue & green wires as I asked ????...
WHEN did the convergence adjustments go backwards ???...
Were they that way before ???...
Were you in the "Factory Menu" ????...Yes or No ???...
From what I can make out from that moving pix , you have a white cross & a green OR blue cross....
Which color is it ????...
It looks like the curves are gone... Yes or No ????

1st , take a GOOD pix with your camera....
Upload it (them) to your computer....
Save it as a JPEG......
Save it to your desktop or ???....
Give it a name so you can find it easily....
Go to
http://imageshack.us/ or
http://register.photobucket.com/step1 or flickr or ???
& sign up & join....
They are all FREE to join & use....
I suggest you use imageshack as it is easier....
Upload your pix....
When you upload your pix to imageshack.com use the "Upload Options"
feature....
Click on the drop down arrow where it says "Do not resize".....
Choose 800X600...Skip "Add Label"...(?)....Upload pix...
When posting a pix from imageshack.us do this;...
Select the pix you want to post from "My Images"....
Right click on the image you want to post....
A box with several choices will appear....
Choose "View Image"....
When that window opens , right click your mouse anywhere in the pix to
get "copy" up in another set of options...
Do NOT click on "Zoom"....
Click on "copy"...
Come back to the box you are posting in , right click "paste" & Ta-Da , your pix shouild pop up full sized & clear as it was taken...
Before you post the pix in the thread , go to the "Preview Post" button at the bottom center where you are making your post & click on that one time....
Wait for it to load the post...
Scroll up & check your post & pix...
If the pix is too small or too big , go back to imageshack (or photobucket) & make the needed adjustments....
If you need any further help or info , just post....

yea on the convergence board adjustment changed wheen i swaped bl & gr. wasnt like thst before.i was in owners menu the white + is green at startwhen i pull red to green iit kinda goes between white and pink seems like the green need to be centered that way i could get the blue up there you think that would help to do in service a

nd change back to factory ?

What exactly are you refering to ???.....

I have the same pix in my manual & the printing is not as bad as what you posted...
Can ANYBODY read that ????...

Next step;...

Put the green & blue wires I asked you to swap back where they belong....
(Blue to J485 , Green to J484..)....
This should make the convergence adjustmernts move in the correct way...

Take a PICTURE of the crosshairs & post it or provide a link....
You will need about 15~20 feet of decent string & some tape to hold the string on the TV...
When you have that , post the pix & we go from there...
