phillips 60pp920217f convergence problems Can't Post

I have a 2004 model. This tv probably does not have 200 hours on it. I am having a problem with the convergence. I tried to manual adjust, the blue is fine but when I try to adjust the red I just cannot get it fine tuned then it starts shaking. The tv pic itself is fine besides in the corners and all the way across the bottom. If there is writting on the bottom of the screen It will radiate out in red writting like a shadow of the original writting. Thank u for any help.

shawn011;....
It sounds like you have a bad convergence IC......
You will need 2 of them as they are ALWAYS replaced in pairs...
Before we go any further I need some info from you;=>....

How much electronic/TV repair background experience do you have ????

Can you take & post pix if needed ????

"Houston , we have a problem"....

With all due respect , you are dead in the water.....Unsure....
This repair requires some electronic/TV repair background....
There are 2 18 pin ICs that require replacement & most likely follow-up adjustments....
This is way more than a mechanical repair & plumbing soldering IS different than the soldering for electronic parts (Especially ICs) .....
Without any experience , my best reccommendation would be for you to call a good reputable TV repair shop for a hopefully free estimate , then go from there....Laugh.....
This repair should normally not be a major expense.....
Depends on your location , etc....

GOOD LUCK.....Sly.....
