You will need to replace the CRT that has the burnt phosphors. this not a cheap or easy fix on a Sony. Sorry.

FYI

Also, You're looking at re-aligning the convergence which can take hours up to weeks. My last TV was a 53" Sony using Mac07 picture tubes and the install was easy, I don't know what tube yours uses, but the convergence was never good again, and not only that, but if you replace just one tube, that color can be overpowering. i.e. I replaced the red gun, and white screens always had a little pink tint to them regardless of software adjustments and brightness adjustments. The best place I know of to find tubes is www.tritronicsinc.com that's where I got my last one, but older models have hefty price tags, if they are even still available.

I checked and they don't carry your tube.

If it is burnt real bad and noticeable, there are a few companies out there that will refurbish your tube, by releasing the vacuum and replacing all the phosphor that is in the tube. I believe tritronicsinc.com will do this for you, but you run the chance of it getting broke in transit and if it is hard to replace, then you might be SOL
