tv turning off after its turned on Can't Post
the tv started out with the problem when it was turned on the sound would come on then, after a few the tv would get a picture. now the green light showing it was turn on comes on but then it turns back off. and every now and then the sound will come on and a few seconds later turn back off. rca r52wh73yx5

Howdy Gadg3t.
Ok first of all, have you changed the lamp on you tv? Normally the lamps last between 2 to 3 years, so if you never replaced it then that would be the most probable cause. So unless you discard the lamp there is not much you can do.
Try out http://www.discount-merchant.com/ they have some decent prices on Philips lamps for your rca tv.
Keep me posted on any new developments.

would be DON'T POST !!!

This Model;=>....
RCA D52W23 with chassis ITC222 does NOT have a "Lamp"....PERIOD....
It has 3 , count em , THREE CRTs..... NO LAMP !!!!

If it's anything I HATE more than STUPIDITY , its UNINFORMED
STUPIDITY !!!!
Do some background BEFORE you get in the mood to spout off
some dumb statements....

Any more intelligent stuff from you & I'd rather call George W Bush
for his oppinion....
