32" G.E. has sound, no picture at first

 32" G.E. T.V. manuf. date: Jan. 2002. Chassis # CTC203CA10
Model # 31GT740. When I first turn on t.v. I have sound but no picture. After setting awhile (10 to 45 mins.) a great picture appears and all is well until it is shut off again. When I turn it on I hear a click that sounds like it came on and then another click that seems to turn picture back off. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
