KV-14LM1x with "unstable AKB" Error (FE-2 chassis)

Hi! I got a really nice KV-14LM1x CRT with a FE-2 chassi that my friend accidently made into a paperweight when he was in the service menu. He wanted to change the geometry and screen position for a game console, but doesnt remember wich menu he was in when the screen suddenly just became black. He turned off the set and now it doesnt show any picture anymore. Now it only shows an error code of 5 blinks from the diode and that means unstable AKB according to the servicemanual. (the RGB values could be totally off or something I read in another forumpost somewhere?) Anyhow, I cant get anything to display at all, not seeing if I can enter into the service menu either.. so my thoughts are, can I somehow reset the settings to factory default or something? Without seeing any menu? I have the service manual and will open the TV soon, but I cant think that its defective since it just turned off suddenly when he was in the service menu "checking around". Should be some eeprom or similar holding all the settings. Might be this one M24C04. But finding the hex/bin from another might be hard :S Anyone experienced this before? Thanks in advance EDIT: I found this in another thread- IMPORTANT: After you repair the unit, you MUST clear the values on this diagnostic screen. These codes do not reset themselves after the fault is corrected, so if you don't clear them, you'll be seeing "old" fault codes the next time you enter this screen. Clearing is done by going into the service mode (display, channel, 5, volume plus, then power ). Press 8 and Enter, which returns everything to the factory preset condition. Will try this when I get home.. wonder if it only clears the error code or actually re-initialize the eeprom?
