LG42LB650V Screen Dark

Hi I have a LG42LB650V 3d tv around 5 years old. The picture now is darker from the top right corner 2/3 across the screen. It is watchable but infuriating. I have tried every setting in the book, dismantled and cleaned the ribbon cables to no avail. Can't see anywhere to post pics. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks
