Main board is most likely.

Check stand-by Voltage.
P403 9~12pin : +3.5V_ST

If no ... power board is likely.

P201 on board ... P403 in SM.

'J96' should be labeled 3.5V

http://www.wikihow.com/Use-a-Multimeter

Read the article;
Obtain an inexpensive meter (Big Box department store for example);
Remove TV back;
Locate test point;
Set meter to DCV ... Red lead on 'J96' ... Black on chassis frame;
Plug in TV. Take measurement.

J96 and P201 9~12 are the same point.

J97?
Goes from a low (high) voltage to a higher (lower) voltage (and stays) when the Power Button is pressed? Then goes back to its original state when the Power Button is pressed a second time?

Re: [jts1957] LG 47LS4500 won't power on [In reply to] Can't Post

Just the be clear presently i just got the power supply board with the power cord connect to it. The rest of the tv is at home

On the power board when my power cord is connect, the only voltage i get is 3.5V from connector P201. i don't get any other voltage

When you say
Check stand-by Voltage.
P403 9~12pin : +3.5V_ST

Ive put my red connector from my meter on pin 12 and black on pin 9

Is it correct ?

I can't test the J97 with the power since the rest of the tv is at home

Thanks alot !

All troubleshooting begins with the TV with the back off, everything else mounted/connected as it was when it left the factory.

Re: [jac36] LG 47LS4500 won't power on [In reply to] Can't Post

Ok so everything is back in tv

Ive plug in my power cord and took measure

Red on J96 and Black on chassis frame = 3.53 V
Red on J97 and Black on chassis frame = 05.1 V

Stand-by Voltage.
Red on pin 12 and black on pin 9 = 05.6 V

Back to J97 it did not change when pressing power button in front or with the remote control

Thanks !

And finally, do the 12V and 24V come on when the Power Button is toggled?

Also D607 has failed on these boards.
