When a TV loses the horizontal sync signal, the whole frame will drift sideways. If you are getting slightly slanted horizontal lines, it is probably a problem in the horizontal oscillator circuitry. How old of a set is it? It might have a "horizontal hold" control inside or on the back. Or the adjustment might be accessed through the service menu. If the adjustment doesn't fix it, take it the TV shop. Have a look at:
