No power, No lights, No Clicking...HELP	Can't Post

I have a 40inch slim Samsung TV which is 15 months old (just out of warranty). It has suddenly decided to stop working. Wife was watching something and it turned itself off. I came home, checked and changed plug fuses, no luck, I used different plug sockets in the wall, different power wires but no change. Im assuming (with not much of an electrical brain) that its the power supply unit in the TV that's the issue? I have seen a few videos on Youtube but they show the TV having some life (lights, clicking sounds) - I have none! Id rather try and fix it myself than pay someone else to do it.

Any help would be brilliant!

Hi

I had a similar problem a while back but not on a Samsung set. It was the PSU and the capacitor that was on the 3.3V rail had gone open and the rail was only 2.8V with high ripple (0.5V pk 2 pk). On standby psu usually gets the rails up to required volts but this one did not.check the psu rails with a DVM.
